Camp Kroc Looks a Little Different for 2020!

Welcome to Camp Kroc... in a Box!

During this unprecedented time, the safety of all who step foot on campus at the Dayton Kroc Center is of utmost importance to The Salvation Army and its staff. It is for that reason, that we regrettably are unable to hold our on-campus day camp this summer.

Rather than having camp on campus, we opted to think outside of the box and created Camp Kroc in a Box! This will be a virtual camp experience that offers campers some of the same activities they would do while attending our traditional day camp.

We are focusing on 5 different components for each week of Camp Kroc in a Box. When you purchase a box, you will receive the following:

  • Devotional
    • Bible story, reflection, singing time together and more
  • Get Cookin’
    • Fresh ingredient for a cool recipe
    • 5 different and healthy snacks, one per day of the week
  • Recreation
    • 5 different Activities with supplies to keep your body in motion
    • Indoor/outdoor activities
  • Hand On!
    • Crafts and experiments to try at home
    • All supplies included
    • Family activities
    • Weekly scavenger hunt and games
  • Virtual
    • Access to the private, Camp Kroc social media group and daily videos for the different components
  • More… games, coloring pages, and more…

Partial scholarships are available for Camp Kroc in a Box to those who qualify.

At this time, we are unable to say if Camp Kroc will be able to resume on-campus in July.  As we assess the state of the pandemic closer to that time, we will be better equipped to make an informed decision that will ensure the safety of your child and compliance with state restrictions and guidelines. It is our promise that we will make that information known to you as soon as possible.
