Dayton Area Soccer Association SAY Program
Overview
The SAY soccer program emphasis is on kids having fun!
Every player is guaranteed the opportunity to play at least 1/2 of every game.
The Dayton Kroc Center is opening a brand new soccer complex that will open in September.
Registration covers the cost of a soccer jersey, socks, and a team photo. You supply the shorts, shoes, and shin guards. No additional fundraising required!
Season starts in late July and concludes in mid-October. There are 8-10 games in the season for ages 6 and above, 8 for ages 4-5, and 6 for age 3 players.
Teams with kids ages 6 and above may play up to half of the games at other area sites; all kids ages 3-5 play all games at home fields.
Most games are played on Saturdays. Teams with kids ages 6 and above will play some evening games during the week.
Players aged 3-7 years receive a participation award at the end of the regular season.

Tiny Kickers (coed): ages 3-4

Passers: ages 7-8
Wings: ages 9-10
Strikers: ages 11-12
Kickers: ages 13-14
M/S (coed): ages 15-19
$45/members $60/non-members

Overview
This program offers a chance for younger children to learn the basics of several sports. They will learn the objective of the sport, rules for the sport, and the few foundational skills needed to participate in the sport. They will learn 3 different sports that we offer here at the Kroc Center, and if they enjoy the teaching, can be plugged into our Volleyball Program, Basketball programs, or Soccer programs coming this fall.

Introduction to Volleyball Clinic
Overview
To establish a high-quality youth volleyball program within the city of Dayton for girls in grades 4-9 or ages 9-14 that will equip female athletes with the tools and skills to overcome challenges both on and off the court.

Goals
-Train and guide performance of fundamental volleyball mechanics and techniques for new players.
-Improve basic skills sets, knowledge, tactics and strategy for intermediate and advanced players.
-Develop character through athletics that will benefit the student athlete on and off the court.
-Increase comradery and the ability to work well with others through volleyball drills.
-To build confidence and positive self-esteem through effective mentorship and professional coaching techniques.
-To help young women develop a positive self-image through athletics
-To teach the girls how to respond appropriately to conflict and constructive criticism.
-To motivate the girls to support one another and build one another up.

Fighting Back: Kids Self-Defense

This class, for ages 7-17, will teach basic and advanced kid-safe self-defense/martial arts, easy to learn responses to typical self-defense situations for youth. Kids will learn how to be safe on the playground at school, what to do in the event of a home invasion, how to be safe at school (ALICE PROGRAM), and much more. Essential points will be to empower students to have self-confidence and build self-esteem through mixed martial arts training.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 PM.
Cost for this class is $5/class for members and $10/class for guests.
 

 

 

 

 
 

The Salvation Army in Dayton has offered a variety of basketball programs over the years. We're excited to use the facilities at the Kroc Center to provide even more opportunities for kids and adults to strengthen their skills and build relationships on the court!

 

Coaches Room

 

After the game, coaches and players can break down videos of games or clips of individual players in the Coaches Room.
The room features a 100-inch projector screen and relaxing seating for coaches and players.

 

 

Indoor Court

 

The Recreation Building at the Kroc Center is home to a full 94-foot indoor court, which can be divided into two smaller courts.
The Indoor Court is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system, and provides bleacher seating for 400 fans.

 

Outdoor Court

 

Outside, there is a full court with glass backboards, electronic scoreboards, and is surrounded by 300-seat bleachers.
The court is fully equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system and live feed and instant replay capabilities.
