Tryouts are an opportunity to join the Elite team and commit to the fall 2024 and spring 2025 seasons. Players will demonstrate their abilities in various drills and scrimmage matches guided by our experienced coaching staff. Anyone who has a love for soccer and a desire to improve is welcome! Let's kick off the season together with determination and passion for the game.

Cost: $100 per season (due August 3)
Scholarships are available. Scholarship applications will be accepted June 10–June 28.

Join the Dayton Kroc Soccer family! Elite teams will compete against other teams locally, and possibly in Columbus or Cincinnati. The schedule will include 2-3 practices each week, in addition to games. Please note that travel to games is required.

Functional Sports Training: Soccer

Personal soccer training is a specialized and individualized approach to improving soccer skills. Whether working individually or with a small group, train with a coach to focus on areas of weakness, perform drills tailored to your needs, and receive personalized feedback and guidance. This type of training allows players to target specific skills, improve their technique, and enhance overall performance on the field.

Improve overall physical fitness, endurance, and speed with conditioning. By incorporating specific drills and exercises that promote building strength, stamina, and quickness, players can enhance their performance and reduce their risk of injury. Coordination, balance, and the ability to change direction quickly are crucial skills which will help players experience greater athleticism and success on the field.

Her Time to Play is an initiative by WNBA, but here it has a soccer twist! Girls & young women will explore ways to connect, collaborate, & engage with each other through soccer. Topics include caring for the body, body image, nutrition, dealing with difficult feelings, bullying, & more.

Registrants will receive their tryout day and time by email a week in advance. Because this program is based on tryouts, not all players may be selected for the team. Teams will practice twice a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays. They will play other local teams in the Metro League. Please note that travel to games is required.

Kroc Kids is dedicated to developing youth pickleball through a network of certified coaches. During these lessons, the kids will work on the fundamentals of pickleball, which include proper techniques for forehand and backhand strokes, dinks, volleys, the return of the serve, the serve, footwork, and the scoring system. Pickleball will also build self-confidence, and most importantly kids will have fun learning the fastest growing sport in the world.

Kroc Kids Tennis

Dayton United Cheerleading

Take your cheer game to a whole new level! Dayton United Cheerleading gives participants training and opportunities to cheerleaders of all experience levels. You must attend a Dayton Public School to participate in this cheer program.

DPS students receive a 100% scholarship.

Dayton United Elite Volleyball

Grades: 4–8
Tryout dates: October 23, 25, & 28
Season: October–June

Because this program is based on tryouts, not all players may be selected for the team. This team will play other local teams in the OVR League. Please note that travel to games is required.

Sports for Dayton Public School Students

The Salvation Army Dayton Kroc Center has partnered with Dayton Public School District to provide children in Kindergarten-6th grade the opportunity to participate in after-school recreation programs for free. The Salvation Army has committed to giving every DPS student a scholarship of 50% off the cost of programming. The remaining 50% is covered by Dayton Public Schools.


This partnership was created to ensure the students of Dayton Public Schools have the much-needed assistance to develop their athletic abilities and inspire them to realize their potential. Open to the children are four Kroc Kids recreation-level sports leagues and two elite-level sports leagues. The programs included in the partnership are Kroc Kids soccer (grades K-6), Kroc Kids and elite basketball (grades 2-6), Kroc Kids and elite volleyball (grades 4-6), and Kroc Kids flag football (grades K-6).

Kroc Park features a state-of-the-art turf soccer/lacrosse field, with stadium seating, outdoor pickleball courts, auxiliary fields, and a paved walking path. It is used by the Recreation Department at the Kroc Center and hosts multiple sports leagues and events.

Meet Our Staff

Robert Kirksey
Fitness & Recreation Assistant Manager

Robert has over 8 years of sports and recreation experience with youth and adults. Some of his favorite things to do at the Kroc Center are working with youth during Basketball and summer camp programs. When Robert is not working he likes to volunteer at Huber Heights City Schools where he helps middle school and high school athletics prepare for games and after-school programs. He also enjoys spending time with his family and watching sports on the weekends.

Sierra Peacock
Soccer Specialist

Sierra has a competitive soccer background including playing for the University of Findlay and the Dayton Dutch Lions. Passionate about sharing the love for the sport, she enjoys developing soccer programs for the community. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature and hiking with her dog.
